That's what I WAS hoping for Jim, BUT from what bots is saying I am most likely Fwonked on that. I will continue to look into this for a feasable solution. Good possible heads up on the reprogramming thanks.
The makes sense.
Any idea if everything else is in the same wiring harness and I would just need to add a sensor?:dunno: and am I looking at 2002 Silvys for the module unit and sensor or another year/model?
Is there a digital ac/heater/fan control unit that would replace the three dial one in my 2002 Silvy? I would think(but not knowing) there was an option that would plug into the same wiring harness and the diference would be contained in the unit itself along with the sensor for the climate...
In my 2002 Silvy, somewhere down the line I want to start giving my interior a facelift. Along with a new aftermarket head unit I would like a new steering wheel.
Is it feasible to swap out for one with radio and volume controls(and cruise if possible) with just pluging the wiring harness in at...
Amen to that. I do as much as possible myself. However I have a reputable shop service my tranny.
Tire rotation is a bitch because I have those big ass Fwonkin' tires. Last time we (a buddy and I) rotated them because we had to replace a hub and ball joint(which was causing BAD wear on...
Thanks for the link. I forgot I had the PDF in my files ( if/when people ask me this question.) until I tried saving it.
I just changed mine for the 3rd time since I have owned my truck. Small PITA, but NOT like some who have it in the cowel. :ohnoes:
So as the on going trials and tribulations of my luck continue, I took my truck in today to get the idler arm, idler arm bracket and pitman arm replaced.
In order to do the pitman arm they need to pull the steering gearbox(after market lift is blocking it from below :fume:)
So has anyone...
Today @ 3am it was $3.55- $3.67 -$3.77 @ the Gate on the northside without the Gate card .03 dsicount per gallon. The Gate on the westside by me is usually .03 more per gallon.
I know this is an "older" post ,but I'm "newish" to the radar dector world.(I haven't owned one in years)
Nice right up Matt. (Sorry you couldn't keep it:()
My best friend (who lives by Atlanta) SWEARS by this brand and model. He does alot of driving weekly between Georgia,Alabama...
To add to the others check the drain cock on the radiator. I would hedge my bets and agree with waterpump first and look at the resovoir(as Bernie suggested).
As to leaking one day and then fine the next,if you were running it one day and then it sat the next. There wouldn't neccesarily be a...
I used it once on our car and twice on my truck. It smoked alot on the car and didn't notice any improvement. Both times on the truck little to no smoke and no noticebale fuel savings or better operating conditions.
I've heard 50/50 from no improvement to "wonderous" results. IMHO it's less...
I tried both sides one then the other grounded to a factory bolt. I even tried moving the wire to touch various different locations and nothing.
I will retry looking for another ground though if it's literraly all that's stopping this.
So a few months ago I FINALLY took the time to do this. I followed the instructions from this well written thread(except it wasn't raining and no truck porn to look at:crackup: ):
