So pretty much since I have owned the truck(coming up on 2 years ) my ABS AND brake light come on shortly after I start driving. To lazy to go out and take a pic,but you know the symbol (!)(P).
I THOUGHT it was in conjunction with the ABS light and warning of the module being fwonked...
Looks good gramps. I'm not giving up yet. "Back in the day" all my friends and I had "redneck cell phones" in our vehicles. :D
I might be getting a traveling job in the near future and that's why I have moved the CB up on the project list. My roof is at 7' now and with my SAS (down the...
Fwonk me Bernie  Let me quote myself:
Thank you SOOOOOO much for that VERY descriptive detailed explanation.
I heard the term "ground plane", but was unclear as to the specific definition.:dunno:
and the NOAA frequency compatibility didn't even occur to me. I would have...
I know it might be a small PITA, but I need a measurement from lip to lip on a standard NBS/GMT 800 bed. I'm not sure if over the years they've changed slightly or not that's why I'm asking for specific year(s).:dunno:
The picture shows what I need. Also a measurement of the lip height...
Most reviews I've read on functionality, looks and features seem to make it almost the Cadillac of CBs :D Well better then I'll ever want/need for something I probably won't use as much as an avid traveler.
As for height,I was hoping to have decent range with a 3'. I'm trying to avoid having to much height wise. I will be going up another 5"(ish) with my SAS soo....
As for dual antennas and the short distance between. I thought having one for CB and one for am/fm would allow for minimal...
Here are some decent pics and different styles off of the Bushwacker sight.

Hope that helps.
Good advice T.J. thanks. Yeah the carwash thing is only untill I do my SAS. Then I won't be able to fit in the car wash I use now and yeah I don't need the grey hairs over them.:ohnoes:
So I'm kicking around getting a CB for the truck "just because". I'm most likely going with this:
http://www.walcottcb.com/cobra-29-lx-multicolor-faceplate-radio-p-2074.html.
I will be mounting it in place of the factory aux tape deck after modifying the opening. Giving it a "factory...
Thanks for the input Clancy. :cflag: I DEFINETLY don't want stench.:puke:
There is no question about getting a tune after the upgrades. I just wasn't sure about how well my truck could drive after swapping out components without one until getting it done.
Florida stopped the inspections a few years ago(maybe 8-10 years):dunno: My question was "what if" ? "IF" we get them back the exhaust shop said "put them in".
I just thought removing them was :quote:what all the cool kids were doing.:quote:.
Seriously (modern or old, regular or high...
Glad to help.
That's what my plan was. A pair of magnaflow high flows. The exhaust guy said go without all together.:dunno:
If your saying cats help reduce the exhaust fumes (or the smell at least) I'll spend the extra $ on them. I thought by upgrading my intake and exhaust...
Thanks for clearing that up guys. I was thinking it would run, but didn't want to change that shiz out and have it limping out the driveway/shop and I would be S.O.L. until I got a tune.:ohnoes:
Here's a link for you :jrod...
I understand the basic principal of having a custom tune to maximize performance, gas mileage(or gas usage) etc. ,but I am a little confused as to some of the specifics.'
For example at some point I will rebuild my motor into a 383ci stroker, but for starters I want to swap out my...
