Cooper STT's are my personal favorite so far for all around traction.
Snow chains are overrated, they barely help you go and they decrease your braking ability by 99%
Yup you can do both. Personally I would weld a bracket on with a shackle attached. The tow hooks pictured in this thread make me nervous about a strap or rope slipping off.
I agree, now you're seeing most of my negativity from when you were asking for recommendations. It's not a bad truck it's just different and I don't like change :skull:
I typically drive like a grandpa and I could really feel it at real light acceleration. I fixed it by matting the throttle every time I take off.
If you already have the bolt holes why are you so dead set against bolting them on? I don't know how much welding experience you have but a high grade bolt will be stronger than most amateur welding jobs.
P.S. My 08 dodge was a 4x4 and didn't have tow hooks.
Jim is yours better now after the BB tune?
I had just written it off to AFM not being able to decide if it wants all 8 or only 4 but alas I was wrong. :tmc:
Get a tap and die set and turn your shift lever into a threaded handle, having a clamp seems cheesy.
Other option is the "universal" shift knobs slide over the shaft then have 3 little screws that you tighten to clamp it down.
Just get it custom made, having the school do it sounds like the...
Put a redneck soft tonneau cover on the truck today, here's the install write up. Get a tarp from harbor freight that measures 7'6" by 5'6". Use bungee straps to to attach front to hooks in bed. Pull tarp over bed and use long bungee straps to hook to trailer hitch.
The wheels and body make it look like a saturn Ion. Only thing different is the front end. Not my cup of tea but I'm sure it's only a matter of time until they start getting fart cans and a new swarm of pissed off mosquitoes hatches.
Seems high on the 08. I paid less than that for my 08 with less than 30K on it.
I really like the newer body style on the dodges so I'd go that way if you can afford it.
Do it, it's tough to make white look bad in my opinion. The white/black theme looks good (I like that dodge). White and chrome looks good. Pretty much anything will look good on white as long as you pick a theme and stick with it.
Agreed but in my area not many places stock GMC's. In fact the only place I know that does have a couple on the lot is actually a heavy duty truck seller that mostly caters to larger construction companies or trucking companies.
That's where we get all of our work trucks because dad can't...
Sucks balls losing a car but he should have known better.
Zem, maybe it's different down there but you'd be surprised how much cops can bring in. If they are saying 100K base salary then I agree on the BS but with budget cuts and hiring freezes there is enough overtime available for cops that...
I'll pass on the rovers but I'm interested in hearing more about the F250 diesel that never gets driven any more. Whats the price and where are the pics.
I agree that mud is definitely not midwest mud. Here the mud is thick but a diesel is heavy enough to really sink down in the gooey...
should be good to go but I think your truck will look like it has an identity crisis. It takes some serious lift and good size sidewall to be able to pull off 22's on a lifted truck and I don't think 3" on a 2wd will cut it.
But if you like it then go for it. Size wise tires should fit and I'm...
If it's automated try pushing 0, that works on most automated systems to send you to an operator.
Otherwise use Larry the Cable Guy's advice and push 9 for spanish so you can talk to the bilingual American
Me too
I didn't realize Ford was owning the HD market by that much. Seems like almost everyone around here for personal use has an F250 but most company work trucks are GM's.
