To me it looks like the middle axle has brakes. If you look closely at the first picture which shows the middle and rear axle you can see the middle axle is solid behind the hub, that should be the brake drum. On the rear axle you can see the open space behind the hub which means no brake drum...
That's a nice chunk of change for scrap. I drove it yesterday, Tracer through a CEL on the way home from work so I will have to look into that. Not going to throw parts at it but the cause of the light will determine whether I continue to drive it or send it to the scrap yard.
Looks good. I like that bumper, was thinking of making one myself since very few companies make a decent one for 1/2 tons but I will look into that one.
Central Pneumatic is the harbor freight brand. Depending on which model it is they go for 75 new when not on sale. Not worth it. If you want a cheap one to hopefully get you through this job buy a new one from HF. If you want a decent one there's plenty of recommendations here. Most important...
With clipped head you can get more nails into a magazine because they're collated tighter so you have to reload less often. No point in it for a homeowner really but for contractors time is money and any little bit helps.
The first nails were actually full/round head clipped is a more recent...
For the right price used is ok but it all depends on condition and price. Pretty much every part on a nail gun is replaceable and they're fairly easy to work on but the price of parts and downtime can easily add up to the cost of a new gun if you're not careful.
Easy repair is what it's all about. All nail guns regardless of brand will fail at some point. Ours is a completely different application but same principals still apply, we have tons of spare pistons and seals in the shop. We only have 5 of these standup guns so we don't have enough spares to...
No pics of that one but it should be back at the shop in a week or two whenever we get the new trucks tooled up. It was the old mans when it was new so hopefully he doesn't take it back now. It looks pretty much like every other beat up 2500 HD out there internals are the only thing that make it...
Yeah we're kind of slow over on this half of the state so we're not getting it until straight up Thursday. Any little bit helps, snowmobile trails are solid dirt and there's a lot of plowed fields this year.
More so I'm saying if G80 doesn't **** up a sweet drift I'll drive it but yeah if it's super icy I'll take it for the 4x4. I pretty much got the car because it was too good of a deal to pass up and the gas mileage. I'll still drive the truck any time of year if I need the bed or the 4wd just...
Parked next to it when I got home. Poor thing hasn't moved in over a week now. Might give it another go tomorrow but if I can't walk it sideways all the way down the street it's getting parked until spring.
I guess we'll see how that goes if either one lasts that long this time. These trucks are DD's for the foreman so most of their driving is on public roads and highways so that should be fine but that small percentage on the job sight loaded to the hilt with tools and welders could be what gets...
