Not to start a brand bash war but if my opinion of Dodge was based on a friends Neon I would have never bought my 08. Just sayin completely different animals.
Your lucky day man, since you're not coming I promised a buddy I would help him put an axle back under his 78 F250 tomorrow. Since dealerships are closed on Sundays I will race you there on Monday. :skull:
Thanks for the review, I want to hear about longevity on both of them. I have looked at buying fords in the past and used to own a dodge and almost have myself talked into another dodge for my next truck but I just don't hear the stories about 300K+ Hemi's or Tritons like you hear about the GM...
You might be alright on fuel economy. My 08 did better with the 20's on it than it did when I put the 17's on. I forget tire sizes but I know the 20's had bigger tires on.
Won't have time to make up one of those fancy camera mounts that everyone keeps posting but I have the GPS mount for the droid so I will snap a few vids if we get some decent snow. Never uploaded a video in my life so I might need some guidance. I would go play in the truck but it irritates me...
Yeah if we get 7" I will be too busy playing on side streets and parking lots to focus on making it all the way to fondy. Gonna have to go do some sweet E-brake slides and reverse donuts in the tracer.
FWIW since nobody has responded those are nitto mud grapplers. I have no experience with them but the posted reviews seem decent but the people that have them don't speak real highly of them. For mixed driving they work as well as you could expect out of a dedicated mud tire (not good). And for...
Most of these things mount directly to the sheet metal in the bed, very few go through to the frame rails. Just buy it and screw it down and be done with it. You already acknowledged that it was just for show so there's no point in seeking out a special one that will bolt to your frame rails.
Good time to put the 'ole welds to the test, if they're strong enough my exhaust can double as a roll bar for the front end. The more I think about it the better this idea sounds.
He's talking about roll bars, headache racks are a completely different animal however equally useless in a rollover. Only way the roll bars will do you any good is if you cut a hole in your bed and they mount directly to the frame.

Sounds good, is it legal to do the bottom or are you rolling the dice? I know on top if it's above the AS1 line it's ok but don't know about the bottom. I know the sides are illegal so not a huge difference just wondering.
I want some, we got a dusting today but it didn't amount to much. Little ice in sturgeon bay but just enough to have fun drifting our 20ft stake truck.
Those pictures of the STT's are my old 97. I had some front end problems for a while so they were wearing a bit uneven but I had about 15-20k on them with close to 1/2 tread left. One of the best wearing mud tires I've ever seen. Also they are awesome on snow and surprisingly not excessively...
