The new wheel well liners from GM are pretty cool, but I have no idea what they cost. The 3M spray worked great on mine for 80K miles, I had to touch it up a couple times a year, but no huge expense.

In the newer trucks (2007-on) we have kept the DeathCool, and have had no issues. I am not talking just about my rigs, but the many I have bought and maintained at work. We have some Dmaxes and 6.0s with over 200K on them, and have kept in in there with no issues with leaks or pump issues.

Yeah, most vehicles have modules running the lighting these days, so adding to a circuit will throw codes. On Freightliners for instance, interior lighting will actually be disabled if drivers go scotch-locking circuits into the existing wiring like they did back in the day.

I get it. I miss my half tons, but I absolutely will never be without a 2500, again. Made that mistake one too many times. Timely thread and post, as I was pondering getting a half ton for a daily driver, or holding out for an SS coupe. I really like taking the wifey's Acadia for road trips...
