Looking for a hitch hauler to help fill the void of no longer having a pickup. Thinking of getting this one: ebay hitch hauler Any other advice or recommendations? Thanks!

Lighter and less aggressive tires will help with MPG. If you're due for new tires and are serious about saving some gas money, i'd see if there are any LRR tires made in the 32-33" tire size.

I've seen some pretty odd things happen. Something (like a mount or joint) keeps building up pressure over time and then finally releases which results in a pretty harsh slam... then the process starts all over again.

I bet me you and Dan can install the trans.... hardest part is lifting it in place (but a floor jack and motorcycle jack help (i have a motorcycle jack... we might have to lower down your truck though! :lol:) I forget where Dan ordered his trans from. Shoot him a text and tell him to stop...

Waiting longer really shouldnt make a difference... if you're stopped, 1-2 seconds is plenty. I'd go under the truck with a good pry bar and make sure all of the mounts and joints are good. Rule out the simple stuff like a trans mount shifting, drive shaft binding, rear axle shifting, etc...

Does it do this when the truck is relatively "cold"? Or is it after driving a while when everythings at operating temp? Do you happen to know what the engine RPM was when it happened?

He drives that thing a lot... pretty much all over the east coast. I'm sure once he gets out of college we'll be putting a 6" lift on it and some nice MT's :thumbs:

Yeah, they looked better 'on' on his truck. They're too big and gaudy on my jeep though... I think stepping up to the 18" wheel really helped out. They just dont look right on my 17" wheels. .......I guess it's hard to tell even with those pictures... but the center caps stick...

Finished everything up this weekend. Came out great. We put on the 2" Rough Country kit. Sorry, not before/after measurements.

As stated before... you have a dealer problem. That being said, I would use that as the MAIN consideration between Ford and Dodge (since you already know how your GM dealer is..). I live in a populated area, so if I don't like one dealer (of any brand), another dealer is only 5-10 minutes...

My buddy just ordered some 18" XD Spy wheels and 285/75/18 Toyo ATs... it's going to be saaawwwwwweeeeeeeettt :D2 I think he's going to leave the center caps off like mine, they look better that way.. Not sure what leveling kit he ordered.. just said it should be here in time for me to...

Man it was beautiful out today! I gave the jeep a quick wash after work (still havent washed it since i went offroading so it had a ton of dirt on it). Also picking up one of these on Sunday (going to need some more stickers :jester:)

Was able to snap two quick ones while he was running around outside today. ..... needs a push start :lolup:
