Most of those "tread seperations" are flats that they continued to drive on. Not saying retreads are are a perfect solution for everyone but the op is in a tight spot and mentioned needing tires. If money is no object I would take new quality tires every time. On a budget I would take a quality...
We can agree to disagree then. In the short time I spent driving semi I had about 500,000 miles and lost one tire. I see more than 1 car with a flat for every 18 truck tires I see and the truck tires are usually left to lay, if cars had to leave there flats where they were I bet it would be 1:1...
To each their own but you better stay away from every semi you see. From reviews people are getting more mileage out of the retreads than the bfg's.

You can probably stay under $800 shipped depending on what size tire you're looking for. They are retreads but you can pick any sidewall you want and they get great reviews. Their A/T tread is the same as the BFG, their M/T is the Goodyear MTR tread.
pirate4x4 has a few, those guys are really into building their own stuff. Otherwise check some metalworking forums, there's a few car guys on those.

I will be different and say I like it. Front end actually looks like a viper coming at you, headlights for the eyes, grill is the open mouth and the red parts coming down are the fangs. I'd drive the wheels off it.
Thanks for the link Dr. Bob, I will probably order through him in the next week or two. Thanks for the recommendation Matt but the cover is going to be on permanent, only rolling it up when I haul something tall. With the regular cab I need some storage out of the elements for EMS jump kit and...
I hear ya, I was trying to point out the quality manufacturing rather than the material itself. Think the difference in feel between cheap imported parts and OEM parts.
I've helped my buddy install a Hellbent Steel kit on his 07 F150 and it seemed like a really decent kit. Came with instructions that even I could follow and the metal in the spacers you could tell was high quality with good construction. A 2010 will take a different kit but I would be willing to...
Looks good man, I love how big my truck feels after driving the tracer for a few weeks. Have any pictures of your center console? I am still tossing around the idea of making one for my truck.
We can always count on daddy to be the voice of reason. Should look good when you're done riggs. I have an over the rail spray in on my truck and I love it. Only part that looks jacked up is the plastic tailgate cover that is filled with scratches. My guess is those who say the plastic caps look...
Seems about in line with what I paid for my w/t. I wouldn't be opposed to driving a Dodge for the same price but at the time a similarly optioned Dodge with the hemi was about 4k more than I paid.

That would be great if you could get me his information. Not looking for 100% weatherproof just more so than the open bed. I don't think 100% weatherproof is possible with a pickup, the shell on my last truck leaked a little in really heavy rain.

Probably going to be getting a soft tonneau cover for my truck in the next month or two, just need some relatively weatherproof storage with the regular cab. Anyone with experience have recommendations for brands or features to look for or stay away from?

A lot of guys think if they register for more they won't have any trouble if they haul over weight. They don't realize that of the possible tickets for being over weight the most expensive is for being over the vehicles weight rating, being over your registration is relatively cheap.
