Re: Jeff's Retrofit Discussion Thread-**Updated see post 71**
That was the one step that would be tough for anyone that's never installed HIDs. Had I not previously installed plug-n-play HID kits (twice), I would have been confused wiring that stuff up. Luckily there aren't a lot of...

I think your truck looks bad ass. Like it wants to run over someone.
I vote chrome. Just enough to be tasteful. Personally I think it would look weird to have so much black in the headlight if you painted them.
Awesome job...
And I appreciate it. It would make the most sense to have them done at the same time during installation.
Rotating the tires doesn't affect wheel alignment, though? At least, it shouldn't. :dunno:
Tires have no bearing on alignment, so you can do it either way...it makes no difference. My front end has some strong positive camber that I want to get knocked out before riding around on new tires. The outsides of my front two tires are bald while I still have a few thousand miles left on...
I've decided to go with the Toyos again. They've served me very well both on-road and for the little bit of off-loading I've done. Tread life is approaching 50K so I'm satisfied. I don't want to make a switch and end up being unhappy with a new type for 2-3 years.
RimzOne is out of stock...
Yeah I might jump on that for the free DS, but it wouldn't be worth it if we have a 15 or 20% off sale coming up soon. It's happened to me before.
I looked into the stuff back when I was looking into radar/laser detectors. Decided I'd be better off not getting one since I rarely go over 5+, anyway.

J-Rod, any word on big upcoming discounts? I know every once in a while Adam's has big 20% off sales (Black Friday, 4th of July, etc). Last time they had one I had placed an order a week beforehand.
Heard any rumors lately? I'm looking to restock. :naughty:
It's neither a standalone product or an anti-ticket device. It's meant to reduce the reflectiveness of your headlights/front license plates, which are where laser guns are aiming. If you combine it with a laser detector, you could possibly give yourself a few seconds to slow down.
So it...

Darn. Might be dangerous if you're not careful, but I would think the proper way would be to drill out the old screws. Use a bit just big enough to drill the screws out but small enough to leave some material in the tapped part...
Re: Jeff's Retrofit Discussion Thread-**Updated see post 71**
Ah, gotcha. I'd bet if you silicone them real good and thread them in as far as you can they would hold fine. Then again I'm not sure how much broke off..
They do look very similar to the Toyos...I like. They are also $400 cheaper than the other two. I'll definitely do some digging to see what kind of tread life they are getting. Thanks!
