Started patching the holes in my high hump cover, only got one pic of the fit up but I had several holes to fill and a couple of patches to make.
Cut the floor out and still have to get the fit right. The seam between the floor pan and toeboard was off about 3/16" from the factory. With...
A little update. :tmc:
I finally got time to stop by and see my buddy David and his '72 blazer project. He's removed the top and converted the front end over to a '67.
Picked up my interior from him while I was there, a couple of pics but I never took any of the seats. :uhoh:
I...
Still have parts coming in, new rack and pinion, u-joints and steering shaft.
Ridetech shocks.
And a new T-shirt. :D
Gas fill hole delete plate and bed stake pocket delete plates.
Engine and transmission finally pulled from the frame and headed to the storage unit.
And the...
Read thru my thread and I should have part numbers for all the stuff I used when removing my blocks.

This and This ^^^^^
Do it and enjoy it, there are no down sides unless you plan on maxxing out the trucks load capacity. Just yank them and be done with it.
Well our little truck show is in the books, brought in over 1900 vehicles. I didn't have time to take pics but if you search Lone Star Throwdown you will find a shitload of coverage.
The vendor that I bought my stuff from brought my spindles and brake kit to the show so I snagged them and...
Kind of sorta!
My original intention was to slam the truck. After doing a bunch of research I decided to do a full Porterbuilt Suspension as opposed to just Z'ing the frame. So all the stock suspension is getting yanked.

Got a lot done today, all of the front and rear suspension has been removed. I'm down to the point of lifting the engine and trans out then removing the last two cross members. Made one heck of a pile of junk with all the stock stuff. Gotta get my engine hoist and trailer so I can transport the...
From the looks of the passenger side door, I would say the front fender was removed so they could open the door. She's straight alright a little Bondo on every body panel will fix it right up.
Tape measure! No seriously it should be fine now. All of the crossmembers that I have removed and the frame never sprung either way, so I'm pretty certain that there is no tweaks in the frame rails anymore.
With the front suspension crossmember removed I will be able to flatten the bottom of...
Finally got the bed disassembled and removed, gonna cut out a few bed floor cross sills and trash the rest of the steel bed floor.
The goal is to remove everything from the frame rails and prep the rails for the new suspension. So I've been grinding factory rivets and removing brackets and...
No regrets whatsoever. 300 mile trip to work Sunday night 65-75 mph speed limits and still averaging around 20.5 mpg. I like the 120 horse tune on the H&S simply because I get the best fuel economy with the hotter tune. My driving style is pretty constant regardless of tune levels but...
Check plugs, coil pack, injector and compression. The code should also be telling you which cylinder. Last time I had the code it was a burnt intake valve and wasn't a simple fix.
