    1971 C-10 "ResuWrecktion"

I wouldn't drive a slammed truck, but I would drive a bagged truck. Is there a difference? Yes. At least IMO there is. To me, a slammed truck is one that has been lowered a good bit but it's static. The suspension is not adjustable. You see a speed bump? You're screwed because your truck is...

My wife, Costco, and Tires. Part 4 ?

SAMs club is the same way. They wouldn't sell me tires because it was a different size than the sticker on my door jamb. I ended up having to bring them the actual wheels sitting in the bed of my in laws truck. I now just get all my tires from TireRack.com and just have them mounted locally...

    DL3 Mirror Mod?

I can do it, I've done it for two other people so far. Where are you located? I'm in Shreveport,LA.

    DL3 Mirror Mod?

I would use the door locks to trigger it. Program the PAC timer module for two pulses, and then when you press the unlock button twice, the mirrors will unfold. For folding them in, you could use the horn. But it would be wise to add another relay on that horn trigger wire where it connects to...

    2001 Chevrolet 1500 motor swap.

Another thing, be prepared to buy a new 34" core radiator. I would not use your V6 radiator, or the one off his truck since it's been wrecked and appears to be leaking. Then it will be easy to swap to electric 05-06 fans in the future if you already have the 34" radiator installed.

    2001 Chevrolet 1500 motor swap.

Also, while you have it out, I would replace as many engine gaskets as you can. Valve covers, intake gaskets, oil pan gasket, etc. and the rear main seal if you separate the transmission from the engine. It's cheap insurance against leaks on a 14 year old engine. And you will need to redo the...

    2001 Chevrolet 1500 motor swap.

Looks like you will need an engine cover, and a stock intake tube. Eff that eBay intake. :puke: I still have my stock intake tube if you want it. But you'd have to pay for shipping or else wait till next time I come down that way. Probly in November or so.

    DL3 Mirror Mod?

I did that on my own truck. I have a 2001 Suburban and I added DL3 power folding turn signal mirrors from a 06 Truck. To wire them up, you need two 5 pin relays and two PAC TR-7 pulse modules. Depending on how you want to trigger the mirrors to fold and unfold, is how you program the modules. I...

    Air conditioning?

It's the blend door actuator. Mine has been acting up for about two years now, doing the same thing as yours. I ended up just unplugging the sonofabitch when it was blowing cold so now it stays blowing cold. Then I plug it back in for the winter so I can use the heater. I need to actually open...

Pictures of My New (to me) Cadillac

Illuminated door sills seems to be getting more and more popular on newer cars. It was an option on the new Altima we bought a few months ago. But it was part of a "trim package" full of other useless bullshit that was just a waste of money. We got the options that we actually like for once, and...

93 GMC to 98 front end conversion

My brother (may he rest in peace :halo: ) used to have a 90 GMC that he ended up swapping over to a 95-98 a Chevy front clip. He did in fact have to replace that bumper filler piece when he did the swap. The newer filler also did not fit correctly into the bumper either, so he had to do some...

I drove the Burban over 100 for about 10 minutes or so the other night when driving back home to Shreveport. But then Katie woke up and started bitchin that I was going too fast. Sent from my shitty ass iPhone while most likely taking a shit.

Advice on new 98 Sierra front lenses

Like mentioned, check eBay and Rockauto. I bought some fogs on eBay a few years ago when I got tired of not having fogs on my truck. They are about 5 years old now and have since turned an ugly hazy yellowish color. So I'll need to replace them soon. I saw them on Rockauto for a decent price, so...

What's my truck worth? 1999 Silverado

Around here, it would fetch about 4500 to 5500. Even with all the mods you have, plus the fact that it's in great condition, people will STILL chew you down because it has over 250k miles.

    Belt tension on a 2001 Chevy 5.3

Thanks Nick. I'm guessing I should be fine. I've driven over 500 miles now and I just checked the belt again. It seems to have stretched a bit but not much. The belt is tight but not abnormally tight.
