    400 grit stones are on the way ... I left .0005" in the bores for the 400 to hone out ... After that is done, it'll be at the finish size of 4.310" ... Been in the mode of installing the oversize valves in my 781 heads ... Had to buy more tooling to open up the bowls and cut in the intake seat...

    Well ... Got to buy more honing stones .. Was going to use the 280 grit as the finish, but I did some research on these kick-ass Wiseco pistons that have a coating on the skirts ... The 280 grit ain't going to cut it .. Needs 400 grit or better ... Be .0005" to hone out of the bores with...

    Holy Chevy Big Blocks .. Batman !! This one is a Gen VI ... (1996 to 2001) It came from GM with roller lifters ... Also have a Gen VII ... (2001 to 2009) Both motors will be took apart for inspection and clean up .. I won't have a need for either motor, although the Gen VII has 496 cubes...

    I did change it to a Powermaster 200 amp ... Had to modify the support arm cause it was designed to work with the stock GM alternator ... I try hard not to go to Wally World cause of Women who shouldn't be wearing spandex !! (Hurts me eyes)

    Jumping into building the 496" motor ... Torque plate is on and I'm just about ready to hone out .005 to finish size ... But ... It's close to a hundred degrees in the shop, even with fans on me I'm cooking ... Flip me over, I'm done on this side !!

    Not something I wanted to do, was needing to buy some tools so I could work the 781 heads so I sold the 4-bolt main block ... Bowl hog takes out meat really fast .. With oversize valves going in, got a need for this tool ... The fellow who bought the 4-bolt block wants me to finish building...

    Got a feeling that the 454 stroked & bored to 496 cubes will be right beside the 8.1L .. Still looking for tank number three .. I have the IH Oem 16 ga left side tank and a 30 ga center tank, but I have been searching for the factory optional auxiliary 16 ga right side tank for about 3 years...

    Okay, after some serious thought, going to continue to build the Mark IV .. I went and picked up the Gen VII 496 ci, it's still on the trailer along with a Gen VI 454 ci that happen to jump onboard .. The Gen VI has a factory roller cam, one piece rear main seal was produced from 1996 to 2001...
