I have heard that as well. I was gonna try first with my original springs and if it sags too much or bottoms out then I will either replace the springs or get ride rite airbags to go inside the springs.
Several folks on TYF forums have replaced the Nivomats on their Tahoes and kept the stock...
I put the GR-2's in the wires 05 Altima last year (or maybe it was in 2011). I LOVE the way the car handles now, but the only drawback is that now you can feel EVERY little bump in the road.
But if I cannot have both ride comfort AND great handling, I guess handling would be more important...
I have been needing some new shocks for the Burban for a few months now. Now that I got a few bucks back on my tax return, its time to pull the trigger. Any recommendations on what I should get?:dunno:
I do 95% street driving, and 5% off road (dirt roads really). Comfortable ride and good...
By the way, thanks for the Amsoil calendar that you sent me Nick.
And I know I want to upgrade soon to Amsoil ATF or some Dexron 6, because I know they only put Dexron III in it. I was mainly just wondering how long I should go before I change the filter and the fluid. :dunno:
I just had my Transmission rebuilt in October. I put about 2500 miles on it since then. Is there a break in period? I mean, after so many miles should I flush the transmission fluid? Is so, about how many miles should I drive it before replacing all the fluid? :dunno:
I would ditch the visor. And paint the grill red or else get a chrome one. If you get the grill painted, I would go ahead and PTM the mirrors and door handles as well. I think 95+ had the textured door handles. You can get some smooth one from a 88-94, or find aftermarket OEM reproduction...
I order from them quite often.
I only go to local places when its something I need NOW, or something like a battery or fluids/cleaners/chemicals that cannot be shipped. I need to order some new shocks/supports for my liftgate really soon. Trying to think of anything else I need if I will be...
I would never buy one, but much to my surprise the Nissan Versa had lots of headroom and ample legroom for my 6 foot 300lb self. Yet I was cramped as hell in a Nissan Frontier.
Yep, just the gasket. Or else they did a poor job installing it. :dunno:
Regardless, he thanked me for catching it so soon. He said it could have been bad had all the fluid drained out and I kept driving it. Luckily I noticed it in time, and all that needed to be replaced was the gasket. But I...
I'm very satisfied with this shop and I would highly recommend them. Stonewall Transmission, they are hwy 171 about 15 minutes south of Shreveport. The reason I chose them over other shops (that were actually a bit cheaper) is because they have outstanding ratings with the BBB. And they have...
I hope so too. But if there is something internal damaged besides the spider gears then they won't warranty it. If that happens I will probably search for a used rear end with 3.73's.:dunno:
Dropped it off at the transmission shop. :fume:
They replaced the spider gears barely 2 months ago, and now the differential is COVERED in fluid. Shits flinging everywhere all under my truck. They said they will warranty it, but only if its SOLELY from the gasket leaking.
05-06 have a different type of plug on the alternator. You need a 145a from a 03-04 Suburban. It willbolt right up and plug right in. You will need a longer belt though. When buying the belt, they should ask which alt you have. You will need a belt to go with the 145a alt.
