    GM did some wild stuff with the Gen IV Big Blocks ... The casting number could be a two or four bolt block ? Bout the only way to know for sure is to pull the pan .. Found out something interesting about this motor ... It could have four bolt main caps on a block that was drilled only for two...

On the head was a 1/2" NPT plug doing nothing, my thought was since the electric fan controller was going to be mounted on the same side that pipe plug would be a good spot to have the sensor ..     Looks like it's going to work okay .. Got one of the standoffs located ... Will pull the pad and weld that one to the wall, reinstall the pad and locate the other standoff .. This 12V to 6V reducer only works the factory gauges ... Been on the truck a long time and will be going back into...

    The firewall pad used clips that went though the wall .. I welded in studs that holds the pad to the wall and fills up a few more holes ... Getting more of the smooth look on the motor side firewall ..

    That's next on the to do list .. Must finish working the firewall, lots of holes to weld up .. Will be seeing POR-15 on the inside, engine side will get epoxy primer and after sanding bed liner will be applied ... All of the engine bay will have the bed liner .. That's going to take some time...
