Well ...
Another one followed me home ..

Took it apart, crank is .010" under and looks very good .. Bore is a bit out there at .060" over .. Might bore it .010" more due to rust from sitting ..
Will get a better look after it's been hot tanked ..

Heads appears to be buildable, they too will see the hot tank and checked for cracks after they are gutted down to bare bones ..

Don't have any plans of using this motor, already got a 2 bolt main complete motor that's never been apart, super low miles on it .. Do have a set of Vortex heads from a Gen VI for it ..

Looks like it's going to have some company ..
Both are for sale ..

You're definitely keeping busy with all these rebuilds.

Thinking about parting out the recent 454 ..
The crank is super nice, being the block is already at .060" oversize and has rust at the top of the bores not sure if it's saleable as is ..
Pretty sure I can get under the rust by boring it another .010" ... Be at .070" over with new pistons ...
Will have a better look at the bores after hot tanking and run a ridged hone down the bores ..

On my truck's motor, got a bit of fab work to do on the Mercruiser aluminum boat motor oil pan ..

These bad boys adds beef, keeps things from breaking ..

Going to require modification to the boat pan for needed room ...

The steel factory pan has a flat area stamped on the side for allowing room for the rod ..

I got a idea on how to make this happen on the aluminum pan ...
