2003 2wd with 135k on it. sold the corolla and bought this for an additional $500. Needed about 1300 in maintenance (tires, carrier bearing, and rack/pinion bushing) but I've still spent less than what it's worth.
Can't wait to get some extra stuff installed (lights and a bed cover)
the truck will look good as long as you do SOMETHING to that grill guard. I personally think it could work if you cut off the light guards, but that's just me.
That's my bad I thought your sig was suggesting your truck was an 08.
05 isn't that surprising. I read about quite a few people having the issue early on but it is strange that your tranny hasn't gone by now. Hopefully it stays strong.

sorry to hear that. I thought the 08s were supposed to be the better year of the 04-08 f150s.
How did the gear oil look? Was it thick or still in good condition?

your writeup is actually how I figured out what the IWE solenoid was and learned how to replace it:lol: I only did mine because I wanted a few more pictures for clarity. Small world.

easy fix if it just started and no permanent damage has been made. Otherwise it's gonna cost you a pretty penny on those vacuum lines and hubs + the solenoid.
