I had the sub bridged. I just tested it and removed the sub from the enclosure and it smelt burnt so I think the sub is done. what would cause the sub to burn up like that? was the amp indeed too small?

I bought it from a friend who was in a pinch and needed some money, I bought it for 30 bucks so im just hoping its the sub rather than the amp, it just seems so odd, Ive never seen a system react like this, especially not from a blown sub

The sub could be toast. I never turned the gain up though, only like a quarter of the way up, i wasnt abusing anything thats why it seems so odd

Third option. Sell the Denali, buy like an 04 (maybe regular cab short bed) just to have a truck and save money, and get a decently nice sports car.

Id keep the truck, youll have more room on trips, if you need to haul something theres no thought required you just throw it in the back. It more capable for several situations. You may not go offroad but who knows when you need to tow or when you may need the awd

My truck will never have a BL. I guess i aught to start saving.
