Get 'em, Got 'em, Good
Hey guys, been a while since I've been very active over here but I'm looking to change that starting now! So I'm still driving the same truck, about 245k now and still putting around. I've been driving on 35s and a leveling kit for about a year now and I know my front end has to be shot, especially considering I've never replaced anything since I've owned the truck. Well this weekend I just picked up some 2016 Cadillac 22's fresh out of the box for steal of a deal, along with some 285/45/22 Bridgestones nearly full tread. Some I'm thinking now is the prime opportunity for an overhaul. I've already picked out Moog tie rod ends, lower ball joint and lower control arm bearings (cause I don't see the point in spending 200 more for new lowers), HD idler and pitman arms, and probably a center link just cause Rock Autos prices are phenomenal. Other than that I was probably gonna get new sway bar bearings, and stabilizer bar links (all problem solver level) . My issue was I was trying to determine if I should go cognitio ucas. It's roughly 250 more to do cognitio uppers. Once I get my wheels and tires on I will crank the keys down some and have the truck level, however in the future I'm sure I will get different tires likely a little bigger but I'll never have 35s again. I know the cognitio uca will only correct the ball joint angle but won't really help the lowers or tierods as far as stress is concerned. I don't really want to fork out the 1800 for a 4inch bds lift but I don't wanna rebuild my front end for it to ultimately fail again. So I just wanted everyone's inputs and maybe anything else I should be replacing. Thanks!
