Maybe everyone that can't just abstained from voting. :dunno:

You're right......I guess I can't leave home anymore since both my vehicles are manuals.......and even if I walked to work, I couldn't drive my manual work truck! :uhoh: :dunce:

Growing up on a farm, I cut my teeth driving manuals...including the first pickup I drove like this '61 Chevy Apache.

I wouldn't say I am a pro driver but I can get from point A to point B driving a stick. If you can drive a motorcycle.... you can drive a stick.

I grew up working on a horse farm, in the 70's and 80's. Back then, very few 3/4 and 1 ton trucks had automatics, and I learned on standards. But, not everybody grew up in an environment where standard transmissions were the norm. Who cares? What's more surprising to me is the number of grown men, that can't change their oil, back up a trailer, or even remove a wheel with a flat tire to put on the spare.

You use the word "man" loosely in your post :fume:

Driving a standard anything is up there in importance of love making skills. Granted not everyone is going to learn how to shift an Eaton Fuller transmission with Hi lo range and a splitter but if you cant figure out how to drive a car with a 5 speed hand over the man card.

So loosely it's almost as if he didn't use it at all.

Any ************ who can't change a flat tyre is anything but a real man. I've once seen an old fart on a wheelchair changing a flat tyre in his Opel Astra (sure, easier to handle than a full-size truck tyre).
