If the shifting is notchy, try changing out the transmission fluid. It takes AMSOIL's ATF, getting a good synthetic in there can clear that up as well. Especially in the cold winter months to come. The tranny takes 5.1 pints or 2.55 qts.

welcome to the club man, I wish I had the patience that you did when I transferred over. It definitely will pay for itself but like a couple others said make sure you have some cash set aside for small repairs
