The logic is there Wayne. No loss is value either because its older and nonpayment. That seems to keep anyone from worrying about resale. No one sells a paid off truck.

The IPR was not the culprit. The HPOP bad from the factory. I am heading to ford to swap it now but there goes my hopes to dyno it in Utah. And I won't have it back till Monday. Ugg I guess I am taking the Harley to Utah and just watch the show.

Just got home with the "new" truck.......all you folks get is another dark shot.

2000 Ram 2500 QCSB 4x4. 360, NV4500 5 speed, NP231 TC, Dana 60's front and rear, 104k miles. A buddy of mine has had it for the last 7.5 years and 60k miles, and he did impeccable maintenance and kept all the records. He bought a Cummins, so I got this for a really good deal.

Wifey's burb's brakes had a real bad vibration when stepping on the pedal hard...so I took the pads & rotors of(front).I had just done a brake job last year WTF?

Ran the pads back 'n forth on flat sandpaper,hit the rotors with a mini sanding dics on my little 90* hand air grinder and re-assembled.A trusted friend drove it down the road to the nearest 7-11 to get beer and said they were good now

Gary... just for what it might be worth...
Some pad and disk combination are not very compatible with each other.

Pad material transfers to the disk and sticks to it.
This makes HIGH SPOTS when you step on the brakes... the hotter the disk gets.. the worse the vibration will be.
It can be fixed, at least temporarily, by doing what you just did.

I agree,I'm hoping I get a few more miles out of these pads & rotors but I won't be surprised if I have to do it again next year.I would imagine all the hot weather we had this year didn't help....Grumpy was running around in the heat of the day getting the grandkids where they needed to be when their mom was working.

When I changed mine and put shocks on it a couple of weeks ago. The front pads were still about 3/8 thick, but had a couple of cracks in them. I figured it was from the heat.

Here is a pic of the old pads I took off of the Caddy...
They had 110,000 miles on 'em...
I changed them because of vibration when brakes would heat up.
