That sucks, that is broke...
but I want to see pics if you make a lamp out of it...

After looking closer, I could probably order a new jug and straight head (spark plug is perpendicular instead of 45*) for $40 with the total cost being $50-$60. Cheaper to build a cool lamp than buy a boring one.

well that sucks...Ive been wanting to hear how its been going to see if it would even be worth building one...but I guess not (btw I want to be able to do like 40 so I can atleast do near the speed limit on the road just outside of my apt)

Don't get me wrong, this isn't the last one I'm going to build. They are definitely worth having...I broke it by messing with it too much and not being careful in the beginning.

Look into the jackshaft shift kits. It lets you use the standard derailleur and gears. With a properly tuned engine, 40 would be easy. I nearly hit 40 with an all purpose gear for relatively flat areas.

Just read the entire thread. It sucks at what happened but looks like you were able to enjoy it while it lasted. You have more Patience than I do.

Rode my bike to school this morning. Surprisingly I made it in 20 or so minutes for a 5 mile ride...got kinda sweaty but feelin' really good.

I've been eyeing one of those little 150cc cruisers but since I'm trying to bust arse to get done with school with the highest grade possible, I don't have a job and can't afford to buy it right now.

Surprisingly, I tend to have a pretty short temper with people but I understand that the engine is an inanimate object so cussing at it won't hurt its feelings but will make me feel better.

Here is the shift kit, after doing a bunch of reading stay away from the lighter duty kits. Spend the money up front for the heavy duty kit. Has to do with crummy bearings in the cheaper kits.

The kit I had was the 80cc (66cc) Grubee skyhawk. If you are good with engines, order anywhere, if you'd like to have customer service, don't go to king's or gasbike.net.
