My truck has 2 pipes -1 3in cat - 2 Flowmasters mufflers with dumps. I like the way its sound but its a little "buzzy" for my tastes. I'd like to finishem out the back i think that will help.

been thinkin the same for mine... we did it on my buddies.. looks cleannn and sounds great. i love the dumped exhaust sound!

If you put turn down tips on it you may get a wierd exhaust note when driving on concrete that is grooved.

I know 'cause that's the set-up I have on my ole Model T Hot Rod RPU. The exhaust note is audibly different, grooved concrete vs. all other surfaces.

I noticed this with a friends truck after he pointed it out. He had an 02 single cab Chevy 5.3 with magnaflow and a turndown tip at the rear axle.

Yeah, I have heard things like this.

On my 7.4, I pointed them slightly out, and slight aft, not just straight down, and had 5 inch long 3 inch to 4 inch rolled stainless tips.

It sounded great for Flowmasters :uhoh:
