How the hell was it that heavy, was it a megacab? There was a guy at the track a couple months ago whose 4 door 2wd Hemi weighed in at 4800.

Cory's bed was filled with bullshit. :p

Dan, one thought on how to pick up a little more power and speed... remove the truck and add some Tahoe.

Just did a lil google search and it said my old truck weighed 5,100lbs. I just went on what I heard on dodge forums. So why not go with a higher stall?

Just checked the dodge forum again and they are saying 5,000 for a regular cab with gas, fluids and a rider. I guess the 5,100lbs I found on google is without. :dunno:

You betcha
His stall is matched well for his cam. He's already pushing his setup as far as it really will go.

This.

I could go with a higher stall, but then it wouldn't be as drivable on the street when I do drive it more in winter, and when I need to tow a buddy's broken car home or haul firewood/mulch I'd have to worry about trans temps... I built this thing to be quick, while still towing better than a stock truck. It's not a race car, it's a pickup.

And if I went with a higher stall, then it'd be "why not go with a bigger cam?", and then "Why not do heads?". I like my simple setup.

As the truck sat, there were two weak spots: the wheel/tire combo, and the fact that I'm still only tuned for 87 octane.

My original goal with this thing was high 13s on a good day, and I've FAR exceeded that.

My new goal is high 12s on street tires, and regular fuel. When's the last time you saw ANYTHING make a 12 second pass on 87 octane, let alone on street tires, and weighing 5000 pounds? If I can't get 12s this fall I'll get a second PCM tuned for 93, but I like being able to buy the cheapest gas I can find, and not worry about it. The truck doesn't get driven often, but when I drive it it's usually on a long trip.

You should drive it more often, use it as a truck, and haul some stuff with it.

You should haul your camera equipment on said trip. :naughty:
