He is in the process of painting the patina on the rest of the cab and front end! Realy makes me want to do the same to mine?

To give ya'll an idea of my madness....
I rolled the orange paint on the cab and dog house last weekend. Sanding and deglossing to follow. (It looks hideous until it's sanded.)

These primer colors where used by the factory, thus the "plan" is to use them so I can attempt to replicate a natural looking patina.

​

Here are some photos of a truck with "real patina", made by Mother Nature and Father Time. I am using the photos as a guide as to where paint should be, and where primer is showing through.

Thes photo gives you an idea of what my "technique" looks like:

350 4 bolt small block Chevy, '70 vintage with long tube headers.

I have done nothing to it other than remove the Edelbrock Foam "Fire Starter" Air Cleaner that was on it, and relace it with an open element GM style.

The motor / engine bay is on the to-do-list... after I finish the paint.

Edelbrock, the only one I have ever owned. So far it's been a good one.
