o, is it worth doing the coolant delete to the throttle body housing? I need to take that off to clean it and while I was at it I was going to delete it, or is it not worth the hassle?

Well, you're in NC so it can't hurt to do it. What gains you will see, that's a different story. The claims of 6-8 HP and 7-9 ftlb are pretty consistent and here's a purported dyno result pre and post bypass.

I'd say for the $10 it'll cost, it can't hurt, not in warm climates anyway.

I am interested to hear what Jenna has to say though.

I did the the coolant delete on the TB a few years ago, but I noticed minor performance problems during the dead of winter, so I reconnected it.

The price on those kits has gone up. When I got mine I paid around $70

Yeah, the system is designed to keep the throttle body warm when it's cold outside to prevent it from freezing up. The cooling effect of the moving air combined with any moisture can cause ice crystals to form and your throttle body to not function as it normally would.

I'm thinking maybe a valve system is in order. Hmmmmm.

That included their air filter which I didn't use. But yes for a simple plastic tube and rubber connector it seems high. But what ya gonna do.

If you do the delete, check the TB more often for cleaning. That was one side effect

Winters here are not that cold. Don't know if I'm going to or not. Too lazy. :D

Yep, the prices on everything seem to be going up like crazy. I got a set of Hooker headers for my impala back in 85 for $50, can't find it that low anymore. :)
