Well a few months back I purchased a new set of tires. After all was said and done, I picked up the truck and went to work. When I got a break, I stepped out to have a smoke and to look at my new shoes. That's when I noticed, no wheel weights. I thought the shop shafted me on a balance job.

So on the way home, I decided to take the interstate. I had vibration doing anything over 65mph, worse the faster i went. I really got pissed. So the next day I stopped off to talk to the shop. He told me that he used these Dyna Beads to balance the tires. I never heard of this. I told him, I have a bad vibration and they need to check them. I didn't see them do it, but he stated that they "re-balanced" the tires and rotated them.
Low and behold vibration was gone..Until i get over 75mph. Being I'm back on hitch at work, it would have to wait till I was off. Week and a half later...same crap. Took it back re-balanced and rotated. This lasted about a week before I could not take it anymore. I could swear he was BS'ing me.
So today, I take it to another tire dealer, explain to him whats going on. this guy says they're crap and really work well in 18 wheeler tires and the such. So I tell him I want weights and I want to see if these beads. Sure enough, they were in there. Cleaned them out and put some lead on there. Fwonker rides perfect up to 90mph.

So, in short. Fwonk Dyna Beads and the crap they're made of!!!!!

They worked great on 18 wheelers, dad ran many sets of them on different trucks. Always wondered if they would work on passenger cars.

Well ...like crap......

Guy at the shop said they work best in 18 wheelers. Even said sometimes people use golf balls to balance them.

We used a bead setup that was encapsulated in a ring. You placed the beaded ring on the studs then bolted the wheel on. This setup didn't actually have loose beads in the tire itself, they helped a lot and cut way down on cupping of the steer axle tires.

Always wondered how big rig tires and wheels rolled so smoothly without any visible lead weights.
