Can someone throw me up a poll for this question-I don't know how-Thanks
Iv got two questions-Flat tappet hyd. Lifters-who soaks them/who puts in dry(Not talking about break in juice coating) Putting the nova together and iv heard ...so im asking you guys the expects. Thanks guys-I will post my next question on a new thread in a bit.(putting in comp 292 and anti pump lifters)

I always soak them, usually overnight.

I have always heard soak. When assembling engines I always use plenty of assembly lube. Depending on what the manufacturer calls for.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe not soaking them can throw your initial valve setting off.

Make sure to roll them around in the oil from time to time also, this will help to get oil in and air out.

You can soak them, doesn't hurt anything. I also prime the engine by spinning the oil pump and making sure oil is getting to all the rocker arms as well. I just use an old distributor that I converted to take a half inch drill.

Yep, just make sure to grind off the gear teeth on the drive.

Might as well soak em unless you are in a time crunch... I'd still slap em in oil real quick lol.

I had a cam guy here who does regrinds and he had recommend not to soak them because they found out the air bubbles would'nt come out and caused some issues-said back in the day they used to but now did'nt recommend soaking-BS?
