well as soon as you get it fixed can you get a video of it running and being driven? I wanna know how loud it is. I am really considering getting an engine and putting it on my bike to ride to my engineering buillding 5 miles away.

Dang, I forgot to do that when it was still running well. But wind noise would have covered it up though. Youtube has tons of videos of them if you get the words right.

It is not very loud unless you open up the exhaust. Get one, if it is too loud you can weld an extension pipe from the tip out past the back wheel. Much of the noise comes from the intake.

Well mine was bottom of the line, absolute cheapest thing online. The carb is pretty junky, I had to do an engine overhaul before installing because of all the metal dust, and had some other difficulties from cheap chinese crap. After this, any extra you pay should be in quality and longevity. Money is extremely tight right now so I didn't have that luxury.

Hell yeah I did. Went in and replaced their crummy lubricants with my engine building oil, only used the directions as a refrence and broke in (and still using) marine outboard 2 stroke oil instead of using "general purpose" oil.

If I had the engine and a welder I'd be game to build it.

Right now it is driving me nuts not being able to just weld the exhaust how I want. I drove all around SM today and the cheapest bid was $40 from a guy who was very rude. It is only 30 seconds of welding, heck I could take my time doing it and still never heat up the machine. :fume:

Oh, got my sprocket in the mail. I'll be picking it up in a few minutes.

I looked on craigslist and found a harley engine for sale...400 bucks... I thought id be a great idea...but on a bike it would do the same as that belt shaker thing rich people would use back in the day to lose weigh
