Well did some more looking into it. Apparently the stock front sprocket has a tendency to break. Replacements are only $10. I also found that the chains they come with are typical Chinese quality and should be replaced asap with #41 roller chain. It sounds like this is a beefier version of the 415 chain it came with. I'm also reading that standard bike chain will also work if you have the thinner front sprocket. I might try using the smaller chain first for improved power delivery.

Still pretty cool though. Too bad about the breakage.

How fast is it like you have it set up?

That's a pretty complete kit. It even looks pretty good.

I've only put about three miles on it. Not supposed to go over 15 mph but I was able to get it to 20 for a very short time before backing off. It is supposed to go around 30-35. I've got the medium 44 tooth sprocket on the back. I can get different sizes as low as mid 33 and as high as 55 teeth. Tons of variability for modification.

That's a pretty complete kit. It even looks pretty good.
Thanks, I'll keep tinkering on it. right now I need a bar to keep my knee from scraping the gas tank and my thigh from touching the engine.

I saw one the other day. The guy actually made a side car for his bicycle. It was pretty cool.
