I think it's awesome, I wish my parents would have let me do something cool growing up.

They gave you life and let you live.. What else could you possibly want??

There are lots of things I will let my children do that my parents wouldn't let me, well I should say my mom wouldn't let me. Dad never cared, but mom was the boss.

It doesn't look anymore dangerous than riding a bicycle to me (which is what I did as a kid). It also looks better than sitting around smoking pot and playing video games like many kids do these days.

the high speed crashes that they take is what I would be worried about...but in comparison to the bmxing I did as a kid, I guess it would be similar...

I raced mountain bikes when I was in my teens and I'd have to say I'd feel safer running 80+mph a couple inches off the ground wearing a suite and full face DOT helmet than jumping over rock gardens and flying down cliff ledges at 40+mph with just a bike helmet, shorts and a jersey lol.

I use to ride skateboards when I was a teen. We rode half pipes, skating downtown Atlanta etc. I feel that's far more risky then Kart racing.

Football can be as dangerous as any motorsport when it comes to injuries. There's plenty of kids out there that are in wheelchairs from a bad hit in football. All it takes is the wrong angle of on a tackle and you're paralyzed from the neck or waist down.

Hell all in all anything is dangerous I suppose. Can't shelter yourself or your kids from enjoying life. Make like a Nike and just do it.

I'm not going to try and protect my son from everything that can possibly get him hurt. I'm a firm believer that being over protective leads to skinny jeans.
