At the time it could've been because he figured if you used it, you would have no need to go back to him for a repaint job since it works so well. Or he could've known very little about it or how it actually works, who knows.
well he makes no money on a re-spray because he guaranteed everything, and he's not like that anyway.

he said on white that over time it will start to get hints of yellowing in it in constant direct sunlight.

Now that you say that I read something about white and how the 3M clear tends to not looks invisible on white which was surprising

not against chips, against peeling, cracking. normal wear and tear you can't help
