Got the bug to swap the HU in my truck out for a DVD touch screen double DIN unit that can accommodate a backup camera.

Something like this but not necessarily this unit. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105AVX640/JVC-KW-AVX640.html

I know I can keep my chimes and such with an interface module and possibly a relay, but what do I actually lose if I don't use one?

What are your recommendations here?

This may be more unit than you want but the boys over at gmt seem to live them AND my technician Matt just installed one in his truck. Pretty impressive unit and a very factory look.

I came so close to getting one. It still may happen if everything doesn't work out with my stock one

I like that unit... but I have no need to pay for navigation in a HU. I have several Garmin units and a smartphone... plus I rarely go anywhere in the truck that I don't know well. Really just bored with what I have now and wanted to add a backup camera - plus the touch screen is cool.

He is loving it so far. Very customizable. I have considered selling my stock unit and applying that toward one but dunno. I have an engine to finish and install.
