The one in the car is the original battery....
Car was built in March of 2006... so the battery was built even before then...
6 years on a battery isn't too bad.. and if I didn't forget to turn off the radar detector and cell phone charger all the time.... I probably wouldn't need a battery now.

Neither one of those should be enough to kill a battery.
You should be able to leave 'em both on for several days and still start the car.

I've also had no luck with Delco batteries. The two that came in my truck were both less than three years old when I got it, and would barely turn it over. True, they were a little undersized (675cca) for a diesel, but they were what the GM book called for. Swapped 'em out for a pair of Kirkland (Costco brand) 800cca batteries and it's been cranking like a champ.

The car sometimes don't get started for a week or more at a time...
It just sits in the garage...
When it was new... it took 2 weeks to kill the battery..
A couple of years ago it took at least a week.
Yesterday it had only been sitting for a little over 3 days...and it was dead... :(
Had to put the battery charger on it for a few minutes to get it to start...

The Delco that came with my 07 crapped out in about 2 or 3 years. But the Delco that came with my 99 lasted damn near 10

Mine would "PROBABLY" still be OK... but I have killed it stone cold dead several times...
Anytime a battery is allowed to be totally drained... it hurts them...a lot... :dunno:

-Drove it to work.
-Got it all dirty from our whopping 1" of snow. :fume: At least it stayed clean for 4 or 5 days!
-Picked up flowers for the GF (ordered them ahead of time so they were set aside).
-Filled it up. 16.4gal and $56 later; got 16.8mpg

My gas gauge is WAAAAYY off. It was last reading 1/2 when I filled up. I'm on my 3rd tank in a row with SeaFoam in it too. It was reading just fine (200mi for the first 1/2, then another 100mi for the second), then it got really cold and ever since then it's been way off. I'm just going off the TRIP now and guessing at my mileage (usually figure on 16 to be safe, or 15 if its freezing).

I thought others were having good luck with the Advance Auto battery....or maybe they meant AutoZone....can't remember.

I buy mine at more of a regional store (Blain's Farm & Fleet; never bought one from Mill's Fleet Farm; closest one of those is 30min away). They sell batteries in 3 levels: 5yr, 6yr, 7yr. The 6yr battery for my ZR2 was just under $60 all said and done.

I am still having great luck with mine, as I have with all my Delcos.

My trucks stay out in the winter, too.

:dunno: Maybe mine was just bad. Hadn't run it dead, that I remember. Maybe one time . . . But it was a cold winter weekend that did it in. I was desperate and bought a NAPA battery, and it's been okay for at least as long as the old one now.

Get an Interstate replacement!

I put an Energizer on the Caddy today...
THREE YEAR free replacement and 8 years prorated... :dunno:
I have never used that brand before...
I usually get AC Delco...

I put a Ray O Vac in the 'hoe from Batteries Plus. So far, so good. The Interstate dealer in Eugene didn't have a battery for a Chevy

Interstate batteries are very popular up here.

Interstate batteries are good. I had one in my '72 Cheyenne. I had forgotten all about those.
