I had my truck up for sale and 4 days ago a guy started calling me about it. Wanted me to meet him halfway so he could see it.

I don't know if it was the fact that I am reluctant to see her go or what but I kind of blew him off that I had stuff to take care of and couldn't meet him that day. He fWONking called me every fWONking day and I would make up an excuse. I did not want to drive only to have it be a waste of my time and fuel.

Yesterday he sent me a text and I finally broke down and said shit this guy must be serious. I met up with him near my house and he made me an offer on the spot. I wanted to tell him no I am just gonna keep it but he offered me exactly what I told myself I would let it go for so I took it as a sign.

I love my truck but with the new house and family plus the drive to work it has sat in my driveway for a whole month.

So now I am gonna pay off the little amount that is left and save the rest for another truck (crew cab) probably a Furd.

I am really down and out and even my gf wanted to cry because I bought that truck shortly after we started going out and we have had so many memories with it that it is almost a part of our family.

Having a son(stepson) and planning on having more kids, a regular cab just wasn't going to work out.

Not having a payment will definitely help out and the $$$ I have saved driving a 1994 Honda Accord for the last month really put into perspective how much money my truck was costing me between the payment and fuel.

Watching it sit in my driveway for a month without use and paying a monthly payment on it just made me realize I needed to part with it.

I felt like I was giving up on a truck that has been nothing but good to me for all these years and I just felt like shit shaking the guy's hand (he is a really cool guy)

I still have her but we agreed to finalize the transaction on Saturday. Tomorrow.

Anyway I still have to post pics of the house and I also want to show you guys my DD Honda (it's fWONking hideous, you guys are not gonna believe what the previous owner did cosmetically) but that is also gonna go away for a week while my dad repaints, details, and tints the car for me.

fWONk...is this normal? To feel what I feel parting with a truck?

lol

Perfectly normal.

We get attached to these trucks! Mine sits in the garage way more than it should. I know I should sell it and stop letting it sit there... but I can't. Not yet anyway. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna use it more.

I've never really missed the trucks I've sold since they have been replaced with brand new ones.

It's weird...this is not my first truck. I had a 2004 supercab 4.6 xlt, and a 2005 Lariat Supercrew before this truck. Never missed them.

I guess it has something to do with how long I have had this one.

Everything happens for a reason Ivan, you will end getting something else eventually. But you will probably never forget this truck. That's life.
