Engine Misfires When Driving

Gary... do you have access to a GOOD code reader to plug into it ??
Some of them can monitor while you are driving and tell you which plug is missing...
It will be a P0300 type code...
P0300 is random misfire..
P0301 is cylinder 1...
P0302 is cylinder 2 ... etc..etc..

My burb has the old anitquated OBD1 system I don't have a scanner for that and the one I do have(for Linda's burb)isn't very fancy....reads and erases codes,and not much more.But I've been looking at an Equus 3120,looks like it's the one I need for both burbs http://www.amazon.com/Equus-3120-Diagnostic-Scanner-Vehicles/dp/B000KID2ZC

I was also thinking along the line of borrowing one from one of the places you deliver to for an hour or two...
Just long enough to check out the 'burb and maybe point to what is causing the miss...

WooHoo!!!!!! Success!!!! The burb is back to it's old self.Did a basic tune-up on it today and it's running nice and smooth.
I think the new fuel filter contributed the most to the good running burb.I noticed yesterday the right injector was acting a little odd...had some dribbling fuel rather than a nice spray pattern like it has now..

For some damned reason I cannot get this engine to rev above 4,000rpm.There isn't a rev-limiter on this old OBD1 system is there?

Does that one have a Turbo 400 transmission?
If it does...... Have you tried putting it in 1st and then standing on it??

Does it have kickdown linkage from the throttle body to the transmission??

Computer controlled 4L80E....I've put the shifter in 1st and stomped on it(in the past)and it starts to cut out above 4,000.Maybe this weekend I'll try that again now that I tuned it up & installed a new fuel filter..should be the best time to try.Maybe it'll go more
