So the winter months are upon us and most of you guys will be forced inside to do maintenance. The use of chemicals in enclosed spaces poses some risks to your health. You may not really care about the harm some of this stuff causes but your family may want you around for a little while.
I ran across this article and thought I would share it. The guy was using Brake Cleaner to remove oil from metal before welding. The chemical breakdown of the Brake Cleaner when heated gives of Phosgene Gas. Phosgene Gas will make you sick as a dog, I have been exposed to similar situations over the years and it's not something you want to experience very often. So give the article a read and think about your situation this winter when you are in the garage with the heater going and the radio on.

Very good article.
Thanks.

Sometimes we get real complacent about what we are doing and the things we are using to do it with.

Good rule of thumb is to not mix chemicals. Bleach with any cleaner is not good.

Oh and don't put a swimming pool chlorine tablet in you toilet bowl tank thinking it will keep it clean. :nonod: Don't ask!!!!!!!
