What did you do to your truck today?

Started mine and let it run for about 30 minutes. Hasn't been driven in a month or so.

Not really... once green is put in it, it plates the internal surfaces with silicates.
You will now have to change in on the GREEN schedule... every two years...not on the extended schedule that DEXCOOLl allows.

Son....of....a....bitch! I have 6 gallons of Dexcool sitting around!!!

Can I ever go back? (doing a complete drain, flush, flush, flush, refill) Or would I have to replace everything (engine and coolant system)?

So if I were to flush it out extensively and get out as much as humanly possible, would I still be stuck with the 2yr change interval (assuming that after flushing, the concentration would be less than 10%, so in my 12qt system that would be 1.2qt or 4.8 cups; seems possible)?

Personally I wouldn't risk it...
For a long time there was a GM Powertrain Engineer on one of my Cadillac boards...till GM told him to shut up and get off of internet forums....

Going by what he said about the all aluminum Northstar V8... if Green is "EVER" put in the system... go to a one year or at most, a two year change interval.

According to him, the green stuff plates all the water passages with silicates and it can't be removed.
Again... he was talking SPECIFICALLY about the all aluminum NorthStar V8.

The cast iron V6 and cast iron V8 may be a whole different animal... I don't know.
But considering the cost of a couple of gallons of anti freeze vs the cost of another engine.... is it worth the risk??

For me, it wouldn't be.
"I" would go to a two year coolant change.

You will have to weigh the pros and cons of what "YOU" want to do...
