Well I found the front wheel hub that are 8 lug for 1/2 ton truck for $200 piece.
Well there you have it, the parts are cheap enough go ahead then and get it done. Take plenty of pics and document it, it will make one hell of a how to thread. We might even sticky it in the suspension section.

I plan it when I put suspension lift on this truck in the future.

Gonna take a helluva lot more than front wheel hubs to make that job stick.

You could always just glue on two more lugs.

Why not get a 3/4 ton and lift it? :dunno:

Because all the used 3/4 ton gmt400 truck are pretty much wore or ragged out cause a contractor beat it all to hell and back on jobs sites. Probably would cost more to fix up a 3/4 ton 4x4 than to convert mine. Plus they over 200k on them too.

Maybe you could get one of your instructors to let you do this as a project during your mechanic's training.

I could but rebuilding the 4L60E comes first. The valve body is crewing up on it. I think that famous #7 check ball is sticking on mine. Dang shifts hard and loud from 1-2 gear.
