6 Lug to 8 lug Conversion

Has anybody ever converted from a 6 lug to 8 lug on 97 Chevy K1500 4x4 1/2 ton truck?

I even googled it and didn't find anything. BUt yeah I'm sure it eould be a lotto do.

The last conversion that I did from 6 to 8 lug it was easiest to just by an 8 lug truck. Not worth the hassle going up in size. Going down in size, from 8 to 6 is far easier to do and less involved.

I think you should go ahead and go for 9 lugs Dave.

Well I found the front wheel hub that are 8 lug for 1/2 ton truck for $200 piece.

Could always do wheel adapters

Well there you have it, the parts are cheap enough go ahead then and get it done. Take plenty of pics and document it, it will make one hell of a how to thread. We might even sticky it in the suspension section.

Bigger brakes for better braking.
