TX, where else should I be?
I love road courses but not drag racing. I worked one day at a road course and if it hadn't been for the kind of people that were there I would have continued working. I just had to be fast because I had to keep up with miatas and such while picking up and dropping of people...in my truck. Not the best vehicle for that job.

I voted #2 because I know I'm not a competition driver( mud bogging excluded:jester:).
I ride my motorcycle, drive my pickup trucks and run a Class 3( Body jobs , tandems and tandem tri-axles)for a living. I have driven everything from farm tractors to a commander( only in a oilfield yard though, they make you feel invincible!.)

Maybe I am better than I thought...:dunno:

Picture this...
Yesterday afternoon...Driving down a divided local street with a really high curbed, center median...curb is probably 8 inches tall.
Speed limit is 40 mph.
Three lanes on each side with crossovers every once in a while...

I am in the far left lane, going to make a left turn in a couple of blocks.
There is this woman in the far "RIGHT" lane.. no one is in the center lane.
She is a couple of car lengths ahead of me.
She suddenly decides she needs to turn left.
The stupid biatch suddenly hits the brakes and then jerks the wheel to the left to go thru the crossover coming all the way across ALL THREE LANES...and directly in front of me...:ohnoes:

There is NO WAY to stop in time without T-boning her in the side...so I jerked the wheel HARD RIGHT...towards where she is "NOW".. figuring that in the 1/2 second that it will take for "MY CAR" to get to where she is "NOW" ... her car will no longer be there and will be to my left.
This is all on the assumption that she would not see me at the last minute and try to straighten up.

Luckily... it all worked and I did not T-Bone her...
But I can tell you this...that crap will sure get your heart rate up for a couple of minutes...

One other thing... as she went in front of me and into the crossover, she was looking at me and giving "ME" dirty looks with her mouth moving... probably cussing me... like it was all "MY FAULT"..

And that boys and girls is why you should "ALWAYS" be aware of what is going on on all sides of you when driving. :D
