Installed my exhaust (MagnaFlow 93227 and Gibson 614434) along with new oxygen sensors (3x Bosch 15703).

See thread here.

Should've stuck with the Delco's... A lot of people have had issues with the bosch's in the S-Series... Hopefully they've updated them some, and you have no issues

Why's that? What kind of issues? :dunno:

In the Z71, I have 2 of the exact same ones. (on that, the front 2 were one number, and the back 2 a different number, all 4 are Bosch; the S10 had all 3 the same)

Don't last as long, sometimes slow enough to trip the CEL even when fresh... I've only heard s-series people complain about them :dunno:

Weird. I've got 14k miles and almost 3yrs on the ones in my Z71 with no problems. Sure hope I have the same luck with the ZR2! :fingersx:

IT'S DONE!!!!!! :wookie: .....well, the interior anyways :D

Overhead Console mounting/install

In addition to the OHC, I also added a factory steering wheel with radio controls. This required getting a new wheel and clock-spring (or SIR coil) from a junkyard. To remove the clock-spring, you need a pair of snap-ring pliers. That's about it. Before installing the clock-spring, you MUST reset it. On it there should be some directions as to how to do it. If it has a viewing window, it is a lot easier. Its not hard to do and takes less than a minute. Once its reset, you can go ahead and re-install it. Make sure your wheels are straight first.

There are 4 wires for the steering wheel controls. Cut off the plug because you can't use it.

At the clockspring:
Black - Ground
Grey - Dash light dimmer +12v
Green - Keyed power
Yellow - Data wire

At the radio connector:

Pin 5 – Black – Ground
Pin 7 – Grey – Dash Lights +12v
Pin 9 – Dk Green – Keyed +12v
Pin 14 – EMPTY - Remote Radio Control

You'll need an extra pin from another wiring harness. Getting the pin out of the "donor" harness was a PITA. Having the right tools probably would have helped.

Put the tonneau cover on the ZR2 (the one I had on my blue '97 S10) and put the original headlights/grill back on just so I could take it for a spin.

Everything works great, except I have an exhaust leak on the passenger manifold. Gonna have to take care of that quick....its really loud and annoying!!!

Thanks! It actually went back together a lot easier than I thought minus the wiring harness. :) Hopefully I never have to take the dash out again. If I do, I'm going to the junkyard and removing another one so I can see how the harness went again....that'll be fun. :uhoh:

Thanks Gary! I can't wait for snow!!! :willy:

The wiring wasn't really all that bad. The wiring for the DIC was only 9 wires, and the steering wheel controls was 4, but I also added a auto-dimming mirror that was another 2. It really helped keeping everything factory color-coded. They only thing that isn't factory colors is the steering wheel controls. Everything pretty much used all the same wires though at the radio. I just can't get the stupid mirror off the truck to put the new one on. Probably gonna stop by an auto-glass place and ask them if they'll remove it for me. I know guys have broke their windshield trying to remove it before.
