Looks to me a bit like a Chevrolet SportTrac

That's exactly what it looks like. The way the bed and the cab meet is damn near identical to a SportTrac, minus the ugly curve Ford decided to do at the back of the cab on the ST.

It's also similar to the Ranger that's offered outside the US. :dunno:

You gotta remember, this will be the most up-to-date smaller truck for sale in the US (if GM is making it competitive to begin with). Dodge and Ford abandoned the market, the Frontier came out in 05 with a redesign a ways off and Toyota just threw a new grill on the Tacoma that's been out since 05. This is a great chance for GM to make up for lost market share in the segment.

But it's not likely they will... The GMT-355 wasn't exactly much of an upgrade to an S-Series :dunno:

The 355 was competitive the year they came out but then a new Taco and Fronty came out for 05 and blew them out of the water. If only they based the trucks on the 360 so the I6 would fit...

We can hope for learned lessons :fingersx:. Atleast the I5 is dead so it's almost guaranteed to have the HF 3.6 and to me the interior looks nicer than the competition too.

They need an SS option with a 6.2 to make up for that ugly face

I remember when the Avalanche came out... I was horrified! Then a couple of friends got them... and they grew on me. Now they look normal. :dunno:

I was a huge fan of the GMT800 from the day it came out. I had a red excab the first week they hit the ground. I got asked more questions about that truck at lights, gas stations, etc. because nobody had ever seen one.
