Still not completed. We ran out of 1/2" round stock, so we had to temporaily weld the one hanger coming straight out of the top of the tip just so I could drive home(which I absolutely hate, fabricator likes it this way, I think it looks WEIRD)

My plan is to extend the hanger to the left 3 inches, then come straight down and weld it on the SIDE of the tube/tip. Just need some s/s 1/2" round stock which I can buy at McMaster for like $7 per 12" length.

The stock hanger on the frame had to be cut off and relocated, the exhaust had to be cut and welded (took about 1 1/2' out), and the tip rewelded onto the exhaust.

I am seriously considering having the Corsa polished to a mirror finish, and doing the same with the s/s skidplate. Just not sure how long the finish will last, might be too much upkeep. :dunno:

The truck is driving much better with the exhaust this way, it's odd. Feels quicker, more crisp, and it has better sound now too. Don't mind the crappy bubbling paint on the tip, I swear after I painted it it was a flawless finish, now it looks horrific. Oh, and the rust will be gone as soon as I have time next spring to do some touch up, I have not even washed the truck all summer.

I also may remove the hitch, don't need it and it takes away from the rear of the truck IMO.

What a dumped exhaust? lol

Looks so much cleaner this way. No more mud on my tip. :)

Unless you were referring to the temporary hanger coming off the top of the tip, then I totally agree with you Jim.

I like dumped exhaust. Mine turn down behind the rear bumper and are almost invisible unless you are looking under it. It's probably just the pic angle, but it appears to hang down really low.

The bottom of the tip if you're looking at it eye level sits right at the top half section of the axle. I wanted it somewhat partially visible from the rear of the truck.

The pic probably just makes it look low. I like the dumped look much better than the pipe out the side look.

I was laying down looking up at the rear of the truck in all the pics. Ok, so you're pro dumped, didn't know at first by your vague comment.

I'd keep the hitch for the just in case factor. IMO.

Nice Truck.

Yeah. I actually prefer them tucked away where you can't see any exhaust, but yours' is nicely tucked away from sight unless you are right behind the truck. Look forward to seeing your new powdercoated stuff installed.
