The regular F-250 (light-duty) was basically an F-150 with the same body panels but with a heavy-duty Sterling 10.5 axle and suspension, along with 7 lug wheels.
the F-250 (light-duty), which was a temporary model from the start, became the "7700" package for the F-150

I don't think that is correct...all the guys I've met from other forums with 7700's, including me, have the 10.25 rear..

Well, it is Wikipedia so it certainly could be wrong. I wish Ford had an actual specs page on it somewhere easy to find. :lol:
