Well my grille is bugging me more and more because the bowtie doesnt fit perfect because of the aftermarket. I found an oem silverado grille on craigslist. I want to know should i buy that and paint the non chrome part the color of the truck like dan(DV2000NJ) has?

The grille isnt actually broken. With it being aftermarket copyright issues or whatever forbid the proper fitting of the bowtie

I like this method, and this is what we are doing to my son's '02.

So i guess what im really asking is new tahoe grill or silverado grill and colormatch the surround. which would fit the truck better.

I like the chrome. I think a black grill would just be too much black. The chrome grill helps the bumper and rub strips.

I would either get the Silverado grill or find a Tahoe Z71 grill. Colormatch it regardless of which one you get.
