Nothing in the UAE makes sense...and this follows that trend.

Any reason a custom built vehicle has to make sense? I can't see it being a production hit, but I'd bet there are a few folks who would buy one.

If it were a custom 6-door Durango, I bet it would've been "stunning." :uhoh:

It only has to make sense for the guy that built it...:)

Actually, I think it looks pretty good.

Because the purpose of a Raptor...so we're told...is to go off road and over sand piles.

Making it the length of the Queen Mary doesn't exactly help the break over angle.

Nope...still pointless.

It would have made FAR more sense if they turned it into what Ford should have built in the first place...a 2-dr bronco. Take that picture above and remove the 4 rear doors while keeping the cargo area. That is how it should have been done.

Instead of selling 800 or so Raptors a month, Ford will be selling 3K+ Broncos a month.

I believe this is true. I wish Ford or GM would come out with a 2 door full size SUV. There would be one in my driveway.

Great idea for GM...rather than chase the silly Raptor or Dodge whatever it's called, come out with a full size SUV with mind-blowing off road ability.

Think shortened Tahoe. Introducing yet another pseudo off-road pickup just looks like GM is desperate and chasing the competition. Doing a 2-dr full size SUV is not only unique, but also a brilliant financial decision.

Why you ask? Because if they develop it off of the mainstream SUV platform, they could sell the components as an aftermarket kit to Tahoe/Suburban owners. Yes, some ability would be lost (just the nature of going to a longer vehicle), but just like the Raptor...99% of owners wouldn't care as the most off roading it would see is the speed bump at the McDonalds drive-thru.
