I'm now on Medicare,officially old.
Well after hours & hours of work on her Burb I finaly got it all together & after cranking for maybe 4-5 seconds it fired up and idled smoothly and after taking it for a test run it's back to it's old self,which is a good thing
The problem is my Sony camera took a shit while putting it back together so I didn't get alot of pics,most of 'em were on the internal memory & I can;t find my cord.I used my backup camera(Kodak p&s)to get a few but not enough to do a real good ''how to'' thread but I'll try....
After disconnecting the battery I just started removing hoses,tubes,wires,etc.No mystery here
I removed the air filter to throttle body intake tube as an assembly

Removed the throttle cables and moved 'em out of the way

Drain the radiator down enough to remove the hose from the thermostat housing(no pic)
BIG TIP....undo the connections from the A/C compressor,remove the four bolts securing it and ''fold'' it out of the way.It sits nicely over on the coolant recovery tank

Once you can get to the rear of the engine remove the 1,3,5,7 spark plug wires tuck 'em out of the way,remove the cap & tuck it out of the way,unplug the wires going to the distributor.Then you can access the fuel lines.Use a tube wrench & a backup wrench to loosen & disconnect the lines.There is one bolt(can't see it in the pic)that holds the fuel line bracket,remove it and be carefull not to drop it

There are two small nuts holding a bracket on the other end of the fuel lines,remove the bolts & bracket and gently pry up on the lines,pry & wiggle at the same time and they will come out(no pic)
Remove all the bolts & studs(10mm deep socket)holding the plenum then lightly tap the plenum with a plast or rubber hammer,easy to tell when it's loose by the sound.Pull up on the plenum,the fuel injection module might stick a little but a light tap of my plastic hammer lossened it and the plenum came up & off(no pic)
Then you have a clear view of the old spider.Remove the injectors by squeezing the tabs and pull 'em out(they come out easy).Put a screwdriver on each side of the module releasing the holding tabs and push them apart,the module will pop out with a little wiggle.(no pic
)and you'll have what you see on the right

A little cleaning and it's time to install the new module...
Install the new bracket & set the new module in it,move the new injector lines a little to allow the module to snap into place.Then orient the injectors for each cylinder.Important!!!#s1,2,7& 8 must go in first as 3,4,6 & 5 go over them.The injectors don't have a real definite snap when locking into place,it's more like a slight resistance

From then on it's a matter of reversing your steps to re-install everything.

It really wasn't that bad just time consuming for my first time accessing the injectors.Next time it will go much faster
