I'm trying to wake the son up to go to work, but when I do, he awakes enough to give me one of those "fWONk you" looks, and continues to sleep.....so he's fixin to learn a "life lesson"!:quote:

 That'll learn him good.

Grab him by the ankle and drag him out of bed.. I bet he wakes up completely when he hits the floor!

I waited and woke him again 10 minutes before he was suppose to be there...It worked! He awoke all freaked out... I just smiled at him :D

He teaches little ones to swim (Damn good at it too) by appointment. Parents will turn him in to management if he's late. :uhoh:

That's one of life's lessons. Responsibility of having a job, don't be late.

I tell all the time, things I've learned in life, but at 16 he hears the noise, but doesn't pay attention to what I say.:dunno:

I did the same thing at his age.. I guess it's normal :uhoh:

GMT400- 32oz Dr Pepper dropped out of the cupholder and onto the floor, dumping every last drop. Vinyl floors FTW!! Still a huge mess, ugh.
Yeah, top-heavy cups don't stay so well in the cup holder. I almost lost a cup just like that filled with pink lemonade. 20oz bottles are just fine though along with pop cans.

Filled it up with just over 20gal of gas ($76) and got 16.25mpg. I'm happy, but wish it were a little more. This is my first fill-up in 15 days! Drove it to work and home.

Got the ECM back from Justin@BBP yesterday along with another little goodie.....EFILive V2!!! :rocker: I tried installing it on my 64-bit laptop and it gave me an error. I sent Justin an email about it. Anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to install it on both my 64-bit and 32-bit laptops, but I don't want to mess up any licensing.

Working on sending in a faulty ballast to DDM again. The email they sent me didn't have a RMA number (which is required to be on the outside of the package for returns) so I had to send them another message/ticket thingy. We'll see how long it takes them to get back to me this time.

What kind of error?
Sorry Dennis, but I haven't had time to try reinstalling again yet. Maybe tonight.

Changed oil. I don't want to know how long its been, but I got 3 1/2+ quarts back out (5qt system) so I'm happy. No, I'm not burning oil, but the rear main seal is leaking very slowly. Put in Mobil 1 5W30 (sorry Nick, but no AMSOIL until I rebuild the engine; then that's all it is getting!) with a Mobile 1 filter.

I was working on changing the rear diff pinion seal, but I couldn't seem to get it out so I took a break. Drove to a buddy's to take my mind off it for an hour or so. Then I left and it didn't look good to the West. I was away from home with my truck in the driveway and the windows rolled all the way down. I called my dad's cellphone and left a messages saying there was a key in the cabinet with a Chevy keychain (needless to say he didn't answer; no surprise; figures...the one time its urgent!). A minute later it started raining. I got home 10min later (after a VERY heavy downpour) and my seats/interior are soaked. Rolled up the windows and ran in the house. My dad didn't get the message until it was WAY too late and he didn't find the right key anyways.

fWONk my life!!! :frustration: :suicide:

I'll be heading back out shortly with my Bissell shampoo-er to try and suck up some of the water. :(

Anyways, back to the seal problem. I'm really hoping this isn't some specialty "repair" bearing/seal assembly that requires taking the entire diff apart to get to. If it is, I'm fWONk-ed. Wish me luck. :( :fingersx:

Damn, Matt. Sorry to hear!

Park facing downhill and remove the plastic door sills (three screws, super easy). Check for standing water and then you can prop the carpet up and dry it out.

That is what I did, and I lifted the carpet and propped it up, then let a fan blow through the opening. Worked pretty good.

That's what I did when I had water up to my back seats in the Blazer

Dried it all right out!

Get some vent visors and leave the windows open for awhile afterwards...

No problem Matt. :)

Sorry to hear the issues with rain and oil leaks. The rear diff seal should be easy to do. Just have to torque the pinion nut back to spec's when going back together.

Make sure you've got a good torque wrench for that... It's one of thse things you really want torqued properly :)
