Gotta go pick up a 35' assembled antenna with it and bring it home. That should prove interesting... :uhoh:
Just tie it to the top and put a red flag on the end of it...
Stand it straight up,everyone will see ya coming :jester:
Then it would just be an extra tall whip antenna...
THAT should work... :rollin:

Yeah, that should work just fine... Until I get to the I-95 overpass on Route 17. It's 13'9" :ohnoes:

Go really, really fast....
Then the wind will lay it back and maybe you can clear the bridge... :dunno:

WTF... My insurance is paid up and I haven't had a claim in 40 years of driving.

:dunno:... we are just trying to help you out with some alternative ideas for carrying the antenna....and maybe put a little excitement into your day... :rollin:

Never did get the antenna yesterday. His driveway was so overgrown with branches and trees my truck could barely fit (had to take off the antennas on the mirrors) and then there was no way to turn around once I got in there. I wasn't about to try backing out onto a busy road with a 35' antenna on the truck so I'm going back today with a chainsaw and a pole pruner to make a little room.

Yesterday: Added some new tie-downs inside the box to keep my emergency gear from sliding around. Also disassembled the Arrowstick on the back to find out why water was getting. Turned out the "permanently sealed (DO NOT REMOVE!)" lens on it wasn't even close to being watertight. A tube of clear silicone and some black RTV for the end caps later and you could submerge that fwonker now. :)

Working on some parts for the S10 again. A guy on another forum has factory tails that are in great shape and another guy has a front bumper, valance, flarettes (flares that mount to the bumper to continue the flow of the fender flare) that are LineX-ed along with some receiver tubes that mount in place of the tow hooks. Tail lights will be shipped, but I gotta pick up the bumper/stuff. Working on when I can do that.

Driving the truck today as there's a chance of rain. On the upside, I haven't put gas in the truck for 12 days! Although I'll have to either Sun or Mon. :(

Didn't do anything to my truck, but got some new shoes on the work truck. Threw on a set of LT265/70/17E Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs. I guess I will give them a try and see how they work out. Can't be any worse than the factory Rugged Trails that came on it......they balled up and spun if you even drove past mud.

By Milwaukee, but the guy will either meet me in Oshkosh (I'll be there July 28-31, but I'm not sure if I'm taking the truck yet) or in a town half-way between us (where his parents live I think). I'm kinda leaning towards driving the truck to Oshkosh which is a 3hr 150mi drive one-way. If I can get 18mpg (I got 20mpg to Minneapolis, but that was entirely non-stop interstate; this is highway and going through towns = slowing down) it will cost me around $65 in gas. If I don't take the truck, I'm taking the bike and if it rains (either direction) it will SUCK again! I rode all the way there 2yrs ago in rain. I made it, but it wasn't fun.

The Penguinfucker has those on his HD. Maybe he'll chime in with his review.
